AN Important Update for our Weekend Gatherings

October 28th, 2020

Please watch this very important video update related to our church gatherings. Beginning this Sunday, we are now requiring face coverings for all gatherings at our facility, including our Sunday Morning worship services, Celebrate Recovery, and Relevant Student Ministry.

We realize this continues to be divisive issue, but given the current rise in COVID activity and clearer understandings about best practices for limiting its spread, we feel this is an important step we can take to help minimize possible exposure to infection as we as serve our staff, volunteers, and attendees. In short, we want to love our community and the people in it as well as we can while at the same time providing a space to worship together. Maintaining social distance, washing our hands, and requiring masks are all important ways that we can love our community well.

Below are answers to some common questions regarding our gatherings and our online services, as well.

What times can I watch the online services?
We will be live-streaming our normal worship services at 9:00 am and 10:45 am. We will offer live-streaming for both services on our website, Facebook Live, and our Grace Community Church apps on Amazon, Roku, and AppleTV. All services are also available on-demand online.

Will there be childcare?
Yes! We will continue to offer children’s ministry each Sunday Morning, but are now requiring all children in Kindergarten through 5th grade to wear masks inside their classrooms and all hallways. All staff and volunteer leaders will continue wearing masks, and we will have temperature checks at the entrance to each classroom.

What are the plans for Relevant Student Ministry?
We will continue to gather each Wednesday night for Middle School at 6pm and High School at 7:30pm. We are asking all students to wear masks throughout the entirety of our time together, in addition to small group leaders and staff that will continue to wear masks.

Will there be social distancing?
As a part of trying to ensure a safe environment for worship, we ask that everyone practice social distancing in the atrium, auditorium, and everywhere on our church campus. We encourage everyone to sit with their household or family but to leave at least a chair of space between other households and families.

Can I get a mask at the church?
Absolutely! We will provide masks for those who do not have their own. There are masks stations at the entrance to both the Atrium and the Auditorium.

Will there be extra cleaning?
Yes! We will have hand sanitizer stations throughout our building. In between services, our staff and volunteers will disinfect high-touch surfaces, including our restrooms. Each week, our building is professionally cleaned following CDC recommendations.
