Grace for the City Serve Day
October 3rd, 2026
For the City Serve Day is an opportunity for our church family to go outside our walls and serve our local partners in practical, tangible ways. Whether we are preparing a meal, organizing donations, or creating something that helps meet a need, every project is a chance to come alongside organizations already doing good work in our community.
Choose a project that fits you, your family, or your small group, and join us as we serve Clarksville together!
Project Descriptions
If you want to serve, show up at the location and time listed below:

Our Grace team will come alongside their staff and other volunteers to help with the morning meal. Depending on the needs that day, volunteers may assist with setting up, preparing or serving food, welcoming guests, keeping the dining area organized, and cleaning up after breakfast.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys hospitality, working as part of a team, or simply offering a warm smile and welcoming presence to our neighbors.

URban Ministries
Cleaning & Organizing
Urban Ministries serves individuals and families throughout Montgomery County by providing practical assistance, resources, and support during times of need. For the City Day gives us the opportunity to serve the people who spend every day serving others.
Our Grace team will complete a practical project for Urban Ministries. Final details are still being determined based on their greatest need but the project will likely involve organizing donations or supplies, cleaning and refreshing spaces, assembling materials, or helping haul donations to another site. Sometimes one of the best ways we can serve a ministry is by taking care of the behind-the-scenes work that allows their staff to focus more fully on the people walking through their doors. Final project details will be shared soon.

Empty Bowls
Paint a Bowl, Help Feed Our Community
Gather your family or friends and spend the afternoon getting creative for a great cause! During our Empty Bowls project, participants will paint bowls that will be used in a February fundraiser addressing hunger and food insecurity in our community to benefit our local partners: Loaves and Fishes, Manna Cafe and Urban Ministries.
For a $5 donation per bowl, you can choose a bowl, paint it, and add your own creativity to this community-wide effort. No artistic experience is needed, just come ready to have fun and contribute to something meaningful.
This project is especially perfect for families because even younger children can participate. It is an easy, tangible way to begin conversations about generosity, hunger, and what it means to use what we have to care for our neighbors.
Come anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 PM, paint a bowl, and be part of helping our community care for people who need a little extra support.
Location: 2853 Dunlop Ln, Clarksville, TN 37043
Project Time: Drop in between 1:30–3:00pm
Donation: $5 per bowl painted
