Teaching Kids Responsibility through Contracts

As parents, we will be approaching transitions with our children and opportunities to create a “trust economy” in our home. We have to approach things such as staying home alone, getting a cell phone, and using technology with our kids and these are chances to help your children embrace these responsibilities wisely.

Use the parent guide to get started. It talks about creating a “trust economy” in your home. Then open up the lines of communication with your child by using the contracts below. You can use the pre-made contracts or print the blank ones to write your own.

Parent’s Guide

This guide is a great place to start before implementing contracts. It includes a helpful understanding of the “Trust Economy” that exists in the families and how to handle it when your child has broken trust.

These Contracts help support that “Trust Economy” discussed in the Parent Guide. We’ve provided pre-made contracts and blank contract templates in case you want to write your own.
