Week 5 – 2 Timothy Chapter 4

Church, this week is the last week of our 2 Timothy study if you e been following along with us. Take in Paul’s final words in chapter four this week, but even more importantly: let what you have started in this study continue. Seek and draw near to God daily through a regular study of His Word. Reflect on the truth of scripture and discover what He has for your life. The greatest purpose of our Grace in the Word study is to create a regular rhythm and urgency for God’s Word in our lives.

We love you church and pray this has been a catalyst for your spiritual formation.

Week 4 – 2 Timothy Chapter 3

Welcome to week four of our study of 2 Timothy.

This week, we are looking at the latter half of the book of 2 Timothy. As you study chapter three of 2 Timothy, you’ll see Paul’s great emphasis and importance on the word of God. Paul reminds Timothy about how incredibly important and valuable God’s Word is for our lives. This week our prayer is that Paul’s words would be an encouragement and reminder for you as well about why we do studies through God’s Word like this. Our hope is that this study directs your heart to continue to study and depend on God’s Word daily after this study is over.

We are praying for you this week.

Week 3 – 2 Timothy Chapter 2

Welcome to week three of Grace in the Word- 2 Timothy.

We are halfway through our study of 2 Timothy, and this week, we want to encourage you that if you haven’t started this study or if you have missed some days, take time to go back. This study isn’t a race; it’s an invitation to go through and study God’s Word. This is a fitting theme for this week as well because, in this week’s study of chapter two of 2 Timothy, Paul encourages Timothy to carry on in endurance. Use Paul’s words this week as words of encouragement and challenge for you as well. We are praying for endurance for you in this study and for your faith.

Week 2 – 2 Timothy Chapter 1

This week, we begin to open up and study the text of 2 Timothy.

This week, you are invited to look at chapter one of Paul’s epistle to Timothy. Specifically, you are invited to critically study and reflect on the truths Paul reminds his disciple Timothy about regarding a life of service for Jesus. As you read through 2 Timothy 1 this week, reflect on Paul’s words as God’s words for your heart and life. What Paul calls Timothy to is the act of fellowship and faith that Jesus is stirring in our hearts daily. Reflect on what hinders you from faithfully walking in service to God and invite Jesus into those hardened places.

We pray for you and your journey through God’s Word this week.

Week 1 – 2 Timothy Background and Theme

Welcome to Grace in the Word- 2 Timothy, week number one!

This week, you begin a journey with our entire church community. Together, our church will be opening God’s Word to read from the same passages, verses, and the same book of the bible together. This week begins a five-week journey where you are invited to study God’s word at the same time as a community of believers, just like the early churches did as they read over and shared letters and epistles like the very ones Paul wrote. This is a beautiful and spiritually forming practice we get to take part in. This week as you begin this study, you are invited to learn more about Paul, Timothy, their ministry, their work and relationship, and most importantly, the book of 2 Timothy. Use this week as an opportunity for you to begin to establish a regular rhythm and practice for studying and reflecting on God’s Word, as you will be doing over the next five weeks of this series.

We are praying for you all and are excited to hear how God moves your heart through this study.
